Joyce Manor Fans Arrested for Moshing at Anime Convention

The indie/pop-punk band Joyce Manor from Southern California had their show at Collective Con, an anime/comic convention in Jacksonville, Florida, abruptly ended on March 8th after tensions escalated between security personnel and attendees.

Joyce Manor, with openers Porch Coffin and Glazed, were performing at The Prime Osborn Convention Center when reports indicate the crowd began stage diving and moshing during the band’s set. After initial attempts by Joyce Manor to calm the crowd, security guards took the stage during the song “Constant Headache.”

This led to a confrontation, prompting officials to shut down the concert. Police were called in to disperse the crowd, and multiple individuals were detained, though the exact number is unknown at this time.

Footage quickly spread across social media platforms showing the events as they unfolded between concert-goers and security. No official statements have been released yet by Collective Con organizers, Joyce Manor’s representation, or law enforcement regarding the incident.
